“Ban Pang Ha” is a small community situated next to the Ruak River in Mae Sai, the northernmost district in Thailand. Visit Ban Tian to see how Lanna-style candles are made with bigger-than-usual candlewick and clay candle bowls. Ride a motorized tractor through natural wonders like the teak tunnel at the border of the commercial area. There’s also plenty of time to hang out the locals, as you taste their Tai Lue-style pizza, “khao soi noi” pancake, and rice and peanut cakes, a Tai Lue delicacy.
